The Manager/Sr. Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for leading and executing against sales goals and initiatives for the global sales organization as they pertain to sales metrics, analytics, sales resources and sales force effectiveness. The role will focus on making efficient sales decisions and minimizing the amount of time the sales organization is involved in non-revenue generating activities. The Manager/Sr. Manager, Sales Operations will be a collaborative leader in areas of sales strategy and tactics, providing insight to influence business decisions.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement key initiatives that align with the goals and strategies of the organization, supporting sales force productivity.
  • Contribute to the creation and dissemination of sales strategies, enabling the sales team to achieve their targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Provide solutions and direct support to field sales.
  • Partner with other stakeholders (Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Technology, Product Management, etc.) to develop strategies and tools to maximize the execution of sales plans, as well as support other business process goals.
  • Accountable for SFDC automation, sales-related administration, data analysis, reporting and metrics, including data cleanliness initiatives, and productivity tools.
  • Work closely with Education & Training to develop sales training programs for new hires, as well as on-going development for sales team members.
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities that would gain more efficiencies for the field sales team.
  • Direct, Sales Deal Desk operations, including CPQ software administration and updates, order fulfillment process, and Opportunity management.
  • Oversee the RFx team, ensuring high quality, accurate responses are provided in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Organize sales meetings (local and/or remote).
  • Manage sales operations budget, including meeting budgets.

Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically, and effectively communicate vision both written and verbally.
  • Direct knowledge and experience with sales operations, budgets, data analysis, enablement systems and tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and balance short-term intensity with long term goals.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in SFDC data management on a global basis and system administration, including knowledge and understanding of CPQ software (Big Machines).
  • Working experience with Outreach.IO, Salesloft, or comparable lead generation assets
  • Strong communications and coordination skills in a highly energetic working environment
  • Strong leadership skills in coaching and development.
  • Ability to communicate messages clearly and succinctly to a variety of roles and skill levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Communications, Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, sales operations, marketing operations or related field.
